Henry Swift was born in about 1797 in Eccleston, Lancashire.
Henry married Elizabeth Owen on 27 Jan 1822 at Rainford Chapel of Ease in the parish of Prescot, Lancashire. Both were of the local parish, and neither had been married before. Henry was a farmer. The witnesses were Ann Parr and Lionel Swift.
Their daughter Mary was born in about 1825 in Eccleston.
Their son James was born in about 1827 in Eccleston.
Their son William was born in about 1828 in Eccleston.
Their daughter Margaret was born in about 1830 in Eccleston.
Their son Henry was born in about 1832 in Eccleston.
Their daughter Elizabeth was born in about 1835 in Eccleston.
Their daughter Ann was born in about 1837 in Eccleston.
By June 6th 1841, the family was living in Eccleston. Henry was a farmer, and there were two male servants in the household, Samuel Pye and Barnaby McCay.
By March 30th 1851, they were still in Eccleston, and Henry was still a farmer. Aside from family members, there was only one agricultural labourer in the household, William Arkwright.
