Willis was born about 1865. He was the son of George and Mary Swift. In 1870, the family was living in Moss, Elbert, Georgia.[1] By 1880, they had moved to Pike, Elbert, Georgia.[2]
Willis married Janie White on 8 December 1887 in Elbert, Georgia, United States.[3][4]
In 1900, the couple and their children were living in Lexington town, Oglethorpe, Georgia.[5]
By 1910, he and his wife and children were living in Homer, Banks, Georgia.[6]
