"Jan L. Swope, 55, of Dresden, died on August 3, 1993 at his home following a brief illness.
Mr. Swope was born April 28, 1938 in Zanesville, a son of the late Fritz Swope and Ruby Lutz Swope of Dresden. He was a member of Dresden Lodge #103 F&AM, a former member of the Dresden Fire Department, Big Brothers and served 11 years as a Township Trustee for Jefferson Township, and was currently serving as a Cass Township Trustee.
He was retired from the Rockwell Corp. in Newark and was employed by Longaberger Construction in Dresden."[1]
