Biography
Lydia (or Lidia) Sykes was born in about 1855 at Deddington in Oxfordshire, the daughter of Benjamin Sykes and his wife Martha, born Martha Dale [1]. [2].
In 1861 Lidia Sykes was living at Philcot Street in Deddington in Oxfordshire with her parents Benjamin and Martha and their other children. Her age was given as 7, implying a birth date in 1853 or 1854. Her birthplace was given as Deddington, Oxfordshire. She was at school [2].
