Biography

Private Allington Sylvester served in the United States Civil War.

Allington was born in 1837. He was the son of John Sylvester and Nancy McGregor. He was mortally wounded and taken prisoner during the siege at Suffolk, Virginia on April 19, 1863. He was shot through the head and died instantly.
