Biography

William Symons married in 1841 to Fanny Squire, daughter of Francis Squire (1786-1865) and Frances Passmore (1711-1827) at St Giles in the Wood.

They settled in Yarnscombe where William worked farmed a property of 80 acres and employed a labourer as well as a domestic servant.

He had 5 children during his marriage to Fanny, Mary Ann, Fanny, Rachel, Henry and William.

William Symons died in 1854 and nearly 20 years later Fanny remarried to Francis Squire.
