A Mass of Christian Burial for Karen Adolf, 38, a Lancaster beautician and beauty shop owner, will be offered at 10 a.m. Monday in SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 80 Burlington Ave., Depew.
Prayers will be said at 9:45 in the Rutecki Funeral Home, 83 Burlington, Depew. Burial will be in St. Augustine's Cemetery, Lancaster.
Mrs. Adolf died Thursday (March 30, 1989) in St. Joseph Hospital, Cheektowaga.
The former Karen Szymanski was born in Buffalo. She moved to Cheektowaga in the 1960s and to Lancaster in 1966. She graduated from Lancaster High School and Harkness Beauty School in 1968. Mrs. Adolf took advanced training at Fredonia State College in 1977 and 1978.
Mrs. Adolf owned and operated Karen's Hair World in Lancaster since 1975. She retired in 1987 because of illness. She was a member of the American Hairdressers Association.
She married Donald G. Adolf in 1970.
Besides her husband, she is survived by a daughter, LoriAnn of Lancaster; and a sister, Sheila Fisher of Lancaster.
