Biography
When Johann Carl Tönsmeise Flötmann was born on August 22, 1784, his father, Johann, was 27 and his mother, Anna, was 29. He married the widow, Anna Maria Ilsabein (Göke) Flötmann on June 11, 1815, in Brackwede, Westphalia, Germany. Upon his marriage, he assumed the name of Flötmann as "colonus." They had three children during their marriage. He died on March 18, 1828, at the age of 43.
