The will of Bartholomew Stovall mentions land given to Hagar Tabor and her two sons, William and John, in Henrico Co., V a. (Goochland Co. was formed out of Henrico in 1727 and contai ns records of deeds between three heirs of the will: William and John Tabor and George Stovall dated 15 Feb 173 3 and 20 Aug 1734 when the land was sold. Stovall's will is date d 14 Jan 1718 and was probated in Henrico Co. 1 May 1721. John Taber presented his mothers will for probate on 7 Octo ber 1723. This means that he was already of legal age and thus qualified to serve as executor; to serve as executor, altho ugh not to be named as such, a man or woman had to be of full l egal age. (His younger brother William was apparently still a mi nor, since John was summoned to the Orphans Court on 5 October 1 725 in his capacity as executor, indicating that he was still responsible for his younger brother's share of the estate . The book Virginia Wills and Administrations indexes a 1713 wil l of William Taber in Henrico County. However, no will has eve r been located.
