The tombstone pictured on his burial memorial stated that William TACKETT was born on 7 October 1844 and died on 27 April 1916.[1] He was the son of Levi Tackett and Susannah Tackett.[2] He is buried in Tackett Cemetery, Salyersville, Magoffin County, Kentucky.[1]
Note: Burial memorial has his date of birth as 27 November 1844 in Kentucky which conflicts with the date of birth listed on his tombstone of 7 October 1844.

Marriage
William TACKETT was married to Elizabeth SHAVER.
Spouse (2):
Elizabeth SHAVER was born about 6 June 1846 in Kentucky and died on 1 December 1924 in Magoffin County, Kentucky
The burial memorial of William TACKETT stated that he was first married to Alsey J. LEMASTER, the daughter of James Richard LEMASTER and Rebecca CHRISTIAN.
While there was probably a William TACKETT that married to Alsey J. LEMASTER, the children of this couple as seen in multiple trees point towards it being a different William TACKETT. The reasoning for this is as follows:
Age of William TACKETT at the time of this marriage which was estimated to have been about 1855 would have only been about 11 years old.
1860 Census record of William TACKETT in Morgan County, Kentucky[5] does not match with age and place of residence reflected with the son of Levi TACKETT in this year.
1860 census record[5] lists a child in household named Andrew T. TACKET age 10 years, making this child if he was the grandson of Levi TACKETT born when Levi's William TACKETT was only 5 years old. The next child listed was Sarah E. TACKET who was 4 years old. The last child listed was Jasper N. TACKET who was listed as being 3 years old.
