Biography
James was born in 1809[1].
He was a Wright and employed a man and apprentice.[2]
He married Agnes Crichton in 1838[3] and they had 6 children, all born in Mid Calder:
- George Crichton Tait - 16/6/1839
- William Tait - 1/11/1840
- Barbara Tait - 15/10/1843
- Jane Hog Tait - 17/4/1846
- James Tait - 8/7/1849
- Agnes Crichton Tait - 11/7/1852
He died in 1877 in Mid Calder. His estate at death was valued at £195-6-3 [4].[5][6]
