Helen Tait, daughter of John Tait and Mary Neven was baptised in the parish of Canongate, Edinburgh on 29 August 1772.[1]
Helen's father was John Tait, a Writer (solicitor) from Selkirk
who became a prominent poet, lower court judge and Writer to the Signet
while he lived in Edinburgh
of Note: Her Paternal grandmother was named Helen Eckford.
Helen married John Lauder in the parish of St Cuthbert's, Edinburgh on 4 May 1796.[2]
Helen died before December 1850, when her will was confirmed in Edinburgh Sheriff Court.[3]
