Biography
Robert was born in 1822. He was the son of Alexander Tait and Maragret Younger. He passed away in 1883.

- In a family letter written by William Tait, in the year 1879, he discusses the genealogy of his family going back to Archibald Tait born C 1699, and includes many of his descendants, I have a photocopy of the original letter, as well as a transcript.
