Father's Name
It was widely known within the family that Kit Sked was his father. William even gave some of his children the middle name Sked. The connection has been confirmed through DNA testing with some Sked descendants who are not also descendants of Ann Tait. [2]

William was married on 28 Feb 1902, in Auchendinny, Glencore, Midlothian, Scotland, to Christina Wilson.[3] At the time of his marriage William was residing at Harper's Brae, Lasswade, Midlothian, Scotland.

He passed away on 3 Nov 1918, age 39, in Bonnywell, Penicuik, Midlothian, Scotland. [7] Cause of death; Influenza (7 days). At the time of his death William was employed as a Tractor Engine Driver.
