Biography

Apphia was born in 1772. She is the daughter of Peter Talbot IV (Peter, Jr.) and Lucy Hammond. She passed away in 1860.[1]

From Colonial Families of the United States of America, Vol. IV, p. 506:[2]

Peter Talbot IV (called Peter, Jr.), of East Machias, Maine; b. 6th November 1745, Stoughton, Massachusetts; d. 18th April, 1838; was Representative to Massachusetts General Court, 1812; Surveyor; had lumber and shipping interests; moved from Massachusetts to Maine at time of marriage; m. 4th June, 1771, Brookline, Massachusetts, Lucy Hammond, b. 25th July, 1752, d. 10th January, 1831, East Machias. Issue:
I. Apphia, m. Abijah Foster.
II. Lucy, m. Josiah Harris.
III. Stephen, drowned, ae. 24 years.
IV. Peter, b. 29th March, 1783.
V. John Coffin, m. Mary Foster.
VI. Micah, m. Betsy Rich.
VII. Sallie, m. Caleb Cary.
