Research Notes
Surname "Talbot" or "Talbott"? Probably at the whim of the recording clerk, but more often "Talbott" in later years.
FamilySearch Tree shows alternative marriage of Thomas Talbot and Mary Martin 10 February 1823 at High Offley.
There are two families of Thomas and Mary Talbot active in the High Offley Baptism Register between 1821 and 1831. They are distinguished by their respective occupations of Cordwainer and Labourer.
John Thomas baptised 29 Sep 1821, son of Thomas & Mary Talbot, Littleworth, Cordwainer
Therefore Thomas Talbot cordwainer married 1820 to Mary Owl (or Howel).
On that basis the 1851 census seems odd (having occupation Farmer) but is confirmed by birthplace and names of family members.
1841 census includes "Thomas Talbot, age 10". Three Thomas Talbots baptised at High Offley between 1829 and 1832, none son of Thomas and Mary. Profile for him not created pending further information.
