Elizabeth Talbot was a daughter of Richard Talbot and Ankaret le Strange.[1] Her year of birth is unknown and is estimated at c 1380.
The Inquisition Post Mortem of Elizabeth Mowbray on 12 Sep, 7 Richard II (1383)[1] recorded that Ankaret, daughter of John le Strange of Blakemere, Knight had married Richard Talbot, Knight, and they had two daughters Elizabeth and Mary.
The accounts of the Talbot household at Blakemere, Shropshire, include the cleaning of a gown of Elizabeth Talbot in Jan 1401/1402 and a payment to her of 40s in May 1402.[2]
Elizabeth married around 1405 John FitzAlan, 6th Earl of Arundel, son of John FitzAlan, 2nd Earl of Arundel and Elizabeth Despenser[3], with the marriage being granted a papal dispensation.[4] Presumably she died soon after the marriage as John FitzAlan subsequently married Eleanor Berkeley and they had a son in 1408.
