Biography

1776 Project
Samuel Tallman performed Patriotic Service in Rhode Island in the American Revolution.

Samuel was born in 1737 in Portsmouth, Rhode Island to Mary (Potter), 23, and Stephen Tallman, 28. Samuel Tallman married Rachel Curtis in Shrewsbury, New Jersey, on June 26, 1765.

Samuel Tallman served in the military in Rhode Island in 1776. In 1779 his residence is listed as Shrewsbury, New Jersey.

Samuel Tallman died in 1788 at age 58 in New Jersey. He is buried in the Tallman Burial Ground, Pumpkin Point, Shrewsbury, New Jersey.
