Elsien is presented with the patronymic Tammes in the birth registrations of two of her children.[1]At the marriage of the same child, Tiaeckjen Tammes, Elsien is presented with the surname Jacobs and acknowledged as the widow of Tamme Luickens.[2]In the same marriage contract, the bride's brother, Jacob Tammes is listed. The more probable patronymic for Elsien is Jacobs. She probably used her husbands first name 'Tamme' as her patronymic/last name after the marriage..and after his death her own patronymic again...
