Zoe (Tangey) Dawsey was born in Tasmania, Australia

The family moved to Thames, New Zealand in about 1897. She attended McLeehan Convent school, then Kauaeranga Boys in Thames, then Waiokaraka School in Thames.

In 1909 in New Zealand she married Walter Thomas Pearce.

In 1920 Pearce was charged with assaulting his wife, from whom he had been separated. A witness was Edward Tangye, her brother.

They divorced in 1920 or 1922.

In 1923 in New Zealand she married Frank Dawsey.

She passed away suddenly on 5 Dec 1924 in Melbourne, Australia, age 33.

Not sure what the story is with the school record for attending a boys school? Two of the records are in the name Zoe and one in the name Joe (but there are no other records for a Joe so I am taking this as a transcription error).
↑ Kauaeranga Boys(?) School Register #0397. Admission Feb 1898, DOB 2 Jan 1891, parent R Tangye. Former school: McLeehan Convent. However, there is another school record for her giving Jan 1892 as birthdate. Also, Waiokaraka School 1899-1903, leaving for home duties.
