Lucy Jane Steed was born in May 1872, probably in Lincoln County, GA, the daughter of Adoniram Steed and Jane Elizabeth (Ware) Steed.[1] She married James N. Tankersley on 26 Dec 1895 (most likely in Wilkes County, GA).[2] She died on 24 Nov 1947 in Irwin County, GA.[3][4]
