Congratulations, you've been a member for a month!
Check out Beyond the Basics of WikiTree for a guide on some of our more advanced features such as Projects, Categories, Merging, Templates and Volunteer Opportunities!
We're very active on our social sites and we have an excellent blog where you'll find our monthly newsletter as well as tips, interviews with our members and guest posts from others in the genealogy community.
Try our Relationship Finder! It searches 20 generations. If you find a duplicate profile, the other managers are probably related. You can use this to find out how!
Now that you have had a little time to try WikiTree, there are a few more features you may find useful.
Not sure what to include in a profile? Check out our Biography Ideas and Styles and Standards help pages. Ideas on what to include in a profile can be found in Styles and Standards, including some tips on writing biographies.
Looking for a specific person? Try under find and enter the name you are looking for with dates if you have them.
It is very important to you and to others that you include as much bio info about individuals as possible & dont forget the need for sources. You will come to appreciate the need for this background info and sources as you continue with WikiTree.
If you have any questions, feel free to ask via MY profile page!

Thank you for joining WikiTree. As a WikiTree Mentor I am available to answer any questions or help solve any issues you may be having.
How To Use WikiTree is a good starting point and the Help Index is an important place to find out how to do most tasks.
Do you have Royal Ancestors? They are already here on Wikitree! Rather than create duplicate profiles for them, please contact the EuroAristo Project to discuss connecting your family line to their profiles.
Feel free to ask me via my profile page if you have any questions.
Hi Rhea Welcome to WikiTree thank you for Volunteering to Help Grow our World Wide Family Tree by adding your Branches
You are now a Member of the WikiTree Community Rhea but please note we are trying to build one Worldwide Collaborative Tree which means one profile per person so please look for duplicates before you add any Profiles to WikiTree
Everything on WikiTree is a Collaborative Work in Progress so dont forget to read and sign our Honor Code its what keeps WikiTree a Friendly and Helpful Community good luck with your search
I'm looking forward to participating in this very interesting project. I have no special knowledge or skills to contribute, only my enthusiastic doggedness as a researcher.
Hi! I see you have uploaded your DNA for comparison. Did you know we have a project for DNA where a lot of great new things are happening? If you are interested and would like to check it out, go to the FIND link top right of your profile page, select PROJECTS from the drop down box, and then select the link for the DNA project. It has information listed that might be of interest to you, and feel free to contact any of the members if you would like additional details.~Michele~

The help pages give lots of information about the process, best to start with 'Before you import a GEDCOM'. ~Michele~
A couple suggestions to get you started:
Our Honor Code is a very important part of why our community is such a friendly place to grow your family tree, so please take some time to read it.
Feel free to ask a question at our G2G forum , and our help pages, top right, have all sorts of useful information.
If you would like to contribute, click the volunteer button and leave a comment, here on your profile, about how you plan to contribute to the tree.
Hope you'll join us ~ Happy researching! Patt
