Biography

Jane Tanner was born around 1823 in England.

During the last quarter of 1843, Jane married William Eddington in Thornbury, Gloucestershire, England.

Jane is a widow and living in Normanby in the Grey South district of Ontario during the 1871 Canada Census. She was recorded as being 45 years old and belonged to the Church of England. Living with her were her children Emily, William, George, James, and Robert. Her daughter Jane had just married William Brown and was living nearby in Egremont.

During the 1881 Canada Census, Jane was 60 years old and lived with son George in Normanby, Ontario.
