Descendant of Adam Ivey.

Otis was born in 1889,^[1][2][3] the 2nd of 15 children to Thomas Green Tanner and Sancil Melvina Rainwater.

He married Viana Belle Price, daughter of William Henry Price and Martha ann Roberts, about 1915, probably in Georgia. He was about 25 years old (per the 1920 census record). They did not have any children together.
