Biography
Elizabeth Jane was the sixth of ten children born to Charles Tanton and his wife Caroline Rachel Nickolls. She was born at Stone-in-Oxney, (part of the parish of Stone-cum-Ebony), Kent, and was living there with her parents and siblings in 1911. She married Jabez Frederick Stanley in 1927 (registered in the East Ashford district) and they had three children. She died in 1970.
