Elizabeth (Eliza) Tarleton was born in 1691 in New Kent, Virginia to William Roger Tarleton and Minerva Hargrove. She married Stephen Hughes in 1715. Children: Elizabeth, Judith, Joseph, Reuben, Susanna, John. She died on 28 Apr 1775 in Richmond, Virginia.
