Biography

  • 1764 Feb 20th. Edward was Christened in the French Church of Portarlington, Queens Co. Ireland. David de Laval, the child’s grandfather, was recorded as the godfather. Also present at the baptism was a second Gilbert Tarleton, noted as the uncle of the baby's father - this older Gilbert was the son of Gilbert Tarleton and Elizabeth Warren. A Miss Anne Tarleton was also present. [1]
  • 1786 He married Arabella Rotheram [2] in the diocese of Meath.
  • 1815 Noted as Merchant of Dublin on his son's entry to Trinity College, Dublin [3]
  • 1822 deceased.
