On 1911 census, West Ham, Cann Hall, Essex, George is 34 and a "brass engineer-Bookbinder's engraver"; wife Catherine 33, b Billericay, Essex; George E., son, 11, b. Forest Gate, Essex, student; Catherine, daughter, 8, b Forest Gate, Essex; Olive, daughter, b Forest Gate, Essex; and Frank, 2, b. Forest Gate, Essex.[4]
