Biography

John was mentioned in the will of his father Enos Tart. His birth year is an estimate based on the 1830 Census. His age was 50-59 yrs old which puts his birth year to around 1771-1780.

It is believed that John's wife was the daughter of James Crawford and Mary Tart, making his wife his first cousin. In the 1830 Census, he was enumerated next to James Crawford, his father-in-law.

He wrote his will on 1 Jul 1827 and it was probated 9 Mar 1833; therefore, since he was listed on the 1830 Census, his death date is estimated to be around Jan 1833.
