Her name survives only in relation to her brother "Corn Tassel", so all we know of her is that she was "sister of Corn Tassel" and dead by 1837. Her children were the sole heirs of Corn Tassel. Unfortunately she her actual name is not mentioned and remains undiscovered. [1]
The key information given by her sons is that she died about 1837 and though we know she gave three sons to Ignatius Chisholm, we don't know much about her or whether she stayed with Ignatius. We also don't know her clan affiliation.
The absence of Martha Biggs in the records of Corn Tassel's estate indicates that this woman is not her mother, which we know is Lucretia Parris from later court records. This document also suggests that Jesse's mother is not Martha Rogers who is mentioned by Narcissa Chisholm Owens as one of Ignatius' wives. Though the records give us little detail, the presents of these records is a rare reference to Cherokee lineage and family connections that may lead to future discoveries.
