Biography

Tom Tate was born in Yorkshire, England.

Tom was born in Huddersfield, Yorkshire, England, on March 14, 1852. He was the son of William Tate and Jane Shaw. He was baptized on May 30, 1852, at Emmanuel Church in Lockwood, Yorkshire.

Tom married Mary Ann Hodgson on December 4, 1871, in Bradford, Yorkshire, at St Thomas Church. The couple would have fifteen children between 1872 and 1895. (Note...Mary Ann declared in the 1911 census she had fifteen children but six had died).

tom passed away on August 7, 1921. He was buried at Scholemoor Cemetery and Crematorium Bradford.
