Biography

Charles Tatlock, born 24 Nov. 1903 in North Carolina, was the son of Joshua Tatlock and Sarah White.[1] Sarah died a few years after Charles was born. The family relocated to Washington Co. Indiana, where his father then married Ann Whitbee in 1811.
Charles and Ruth Tatlock, daughter of his uncle Myles Tatlock, were married 25 Dec 1834.[2] To them were born at least eleven children over the next 30 years. Those children are listed below.
The Civil War disrupted their lives, as it did all those living in the south eastern part of the country. Charles enlisted with the Union, serving as Private with the 66th Regiment of the Indiana Infantry.[3]
Charles died in 20 March 1884, in Washington Co, Indiana, and is buried in the Franklin Cemetery, along with many members, of the Tatlock family.[1]
