Association of this line of Taylors to the town of Rapidan is an internet myth. The town of Rapidan, Virginia was not settled until the latter half of the 18th Century, and there is no record that James Taylor II & Martha Thompson ever resided in Rapidan. Their children were probably born in King and Queen County. Orange County was not formed until 1734 from part of Spotsylvania County, which was not formed until 1721 from portions of King and Queen, Essex, and King William Counties.
The Mildred Taylor who was the daughter of James Taylor II and Martha Thompson, and who married Richard Thomas Jr. was born 11 Dec 1724 (not 1753) and died about 1790.
Taylor-12631 and Taylor-12313 appear to represent the same person because: Same year of birth and same parents. Unmerged match removed. Recommend merge.
