Research Notes

Vital Statistics

Birth
In order to anchor this profile to a century, his birth date is estimated from his wife's birth date, (about 1687 - average 3 years) = about 1684.

Marriage

  • Marriage in 1735 may be based on an incorrect death date for William Halbert of 1733 (he died about 1718/19; his oldest son was not of age until 1733, when he was granted administration of his father's estate).
  • If the 1733 bond record is for Mary's (2) husband William Halbert, it seems far fetched the Court would have allowed the Estate Inventory to NOT be returned for 13 years (from 1718 death to 1733 bond). More logical that William died in 1733, or the record is for someone else. Spratlin-29 18:54, 11 March 2024 (UTC)
