I was born in rural Pike County, Kentucky; the name of the location is Long Branch. I am the seventh in a line of nine children born to Eula M. Muncy(maiden name). My father, Glen Hayse Taylor, died in 1953. My mother, Eula, was first married to John Thurman Maynard who perished in a mining accident in 1945, leaving her with five children. She then re-married to my father, Glen Taylor, and they had two children, my sister and me. After his death, she moved her family to Morgan County, Ohio and then on to Columbus, Ohio. She met and then married Edward E. Wallace in Columbus, having two children with him.
I am an amateur genealogist studying the families; Taylor, Maynard, Wallace, Muncy, Sartin/Sartain, Fields, Reed, Pinson and auxiliary families. My search locations have been in the areas of Kentucky, Virginia, West Virginia, Ohio, North and South Carolina, Ireland and England. I very much enjoy the process of genealogy and find pride in knowing who, and where, my forefathers originated from and how they were related to their fellow travelers.
