Note
Note: D.W. Ruffin in his "History of Tipton County, TN" states that Mary Taylor was the Neice of Julius A. Taylor and the great-granddaughter of Chief Justice Leonard Henderson of North Carolina.
On the 1900 census for New Orleans, LA, Mary White is listed as being a WIDOW. This may be true or just a nicety to cover up a divorce. All of her children are living with her. She is listed as being the manager of a boarding house and has a number of people living in her home, including a few relatives.
