Research Notes

Re: Weekly Challenge 04 Jun 2018, location corrections (errors 603/633, USA used too early). The data in this profile before it was altered was the following:

  • birth 1660-08-09 Springfield, Hampden, Massachusetts, United States, corrected to Springfield, Massachusetts Bay
  • death 1691-04-00 Springfield, Hampden, Massachusetts, United States, corrected to Springfield, Hampshire, Massachusetts Bay

Note that Springfield became part of Hampshire County in 1662 and did not become part of Hamden county until 1812. At the time of this persons' death In Apr 1691, it was in Massachusetts Bay, although this would change several months later when the Colony became the Province of Massachusetts Bay, on 07 Oct 1691.
