Research Note

Robert and I have so many ancestors residences in common that we are planning a "Family visit" to all OUR states:
Bradfield/Puntenney in Ohio
Manis/Goode/Taylor/Lee in Missouri
Manis/Rimer/Delph in Tennessee
Bradfield/Puntenney-Taylor in California
Manis-Bradfield/Manis-Greer in Colorado

We were both born in California, he in Los Angles and me in Long Beach. His dad and he were raised in Missouri and my dad and his dad were born in Missouri. Robert spent 20 years in the Navy and so did my brother-in-law and sister. His Great grandparents lived/died in Ohio and so are mine. One of his great grampas was born in Illinois and my grampa Puntenney was born in Illinois. And THEN the biggest connection...our great gramma MANIS's were sisters and after moving to different states are now BOTH buried in Colorado, where I am now living.....Cuz' Carole Taylor related from Grampa Albert Lofton Manis/Martha Rimer and their daughters. Adeline Manis-Greer and Easter Manis-Bradfield John Bradfield to link to the Manis family...

Hi,

The Global Cemeteries Project is currently undergoing our member check-in and wanted to verify that you are still active and interested in being a member of the project. Are you currently assigned to or working with one of our Cemetery Teams? If not, is there a particular Team or area you are interested in participating with? I would be delighted to help you get setup in one or more of our collaborative teams!

We use Google Groups for internal project collaboration, so if you are not yet setup for access feel free to submit a join request and we will get that approved as quick as possible. We also ask that members check their follwed tags to make sure you are following the correct project tag (CEMETERIES) so you don't miss any disucssions in G2G.

Last, but not least, we would like to thank you for all of your contributions to WikiTree and let you konw that any ideas or suggestions for improvement you may have for the Global Cemeteries Project would greatly appreciated!

I look forward to hearing form you soon!

yes I am still on the list. I add cemeteries daily, on the US of A Colorado Team.. I am terrible with LINKING to the google groups chats.. sorry , and yes I have Cemeteries on my TAGs

and yes I have a suggestion that, maybe it is just my OCCD that makes this not so important to others... But MOST of the cemeteries I can just type "Category: Mount Pisgah Cemetery, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania" in other words just deleting the county, but sometimes I have to go back and put the county and not the township or city. So we are not 100% consist in the way the cemeteries are found. Just me.. I am sure. Thanks for the best Category on wikitree

Thanks for checking back in with us Carole!

As far as cemetery naming is concerned, I know it can be a pain when some cemeteries have different naming formats, but we have adopted the naming conventions through the local (regional) projects that are in use. For instance, townships follow a special naming convention, so will vary slightly from other cemeteries. For more information, see Space:How_to_Categorise_Cemeteries and Help:Category_Names_for_Regions.

If you ever need any help, just let us know!

Hi Carole,

Thank you for pointing out an error in my listing for Wilson-67761. The 1909 date appears in multiple family trees, but Find a Grave indicates he died in 1899.

We are establishing a page where everyone can identify the President or Vice President that they wish to manage. Just respond to this message to let me know 1) Are you planning to continue with the Project and 2) do you have a specific President or Vice President that you are interested in.
