Claude W. was born in Sedalia, Pettis County, Missouri to William Henry Taylor born 1852 - 1915, and Levisa Ann Lee Taylor, born 1856 - 1910. One of 13 kids. My Uncle who lived near us, in Kern County when we lived in Fresno.
This census is proof that William H. was born in Kentucky not Missouri

(ALL children BORN in MO, Freddie was the only one born in Oklahoma on :Indian Territory) and the next line on the census is Julius M Taylor and wife :Fannie, he is 24 she is 18 no kids. This is the older brother that appears on the :1880 census, along with his 3 sisters, Sallie (Sarah) Mollie (Mary) & Zeddie age 1.
(Zettie died Christmas next year) And also the one that 4 of the kids moved in :with when they all moved back to Sedalia, Pettis MO.

Brother: Fred age:11 the only one that was born in Oklahoma.

maybe these brothers deserted their families together...
but looks like Claud's wife Mollie Holeman-Taylor died 1928
found another marriage record for a Claude Taylor (his son?)
married a Rebecca Reed in MO on Sept 17, 1928 same year Mollie died.
