James Franklin Taylor (1861 - 1951)

On 11 Dec 1902, James age 41, married Alice (Leroy) Taylor, age 22, in Sault Ste Marie, Chippewa, Michigan, USA.^[5]

They had one child together.

In 1910, James age 48, resided with his family in Sault Sainte Marie, Chippewa, Michigan, USA^[6] In 1920, James age 58, resided with his family in Sault Sainte Marie, Chippewa, Michigan, USA^[7] In 1930, James age 68, resided with his family in Sault Sainte Marie, Chippewa, Michigan, USA^[8] In 1935, James age 73, resided with his wife Alice in Sault Sainte Marie, Chippewa, Michigan, USA^[9] James second wife Alice, died at the age of 58, on 27 Apr 1939 in Sault Sainte Marie, Chippewa, Michigan, USA^[10] In 1940, James age 78, resided in Avon Twp, Rochester, Oakland, Michigan, USA^[11]

On 8 Jan 1941, James age 79, married Elizabeth (Rosen) Taylor, age 65, in Pontiac, Oakland, Michigan, USA.^[12]

James died on October 14, 1951, in Palmetto, Florida, at the age of 90, and was buried in Rochester, Michigan.^[13][14]

FRANK TAYLOR.

Uncle Frank, according to Violet Guthrie, helped with the "under-ground railroad" in Cass City. Frank lived for many years at Sault St. Marie, died in Palmetto, FL, and is buried at Rochester, MI.

He married three times, but of his three children we have contact only with Alta Middaugh, who lived in Caro 1908- l976, and is now in a retirement home in Saginaw. Her parents were separated, she tells me, when she was 4 and Ralph was 10. Ralph lived his last six-years in Pasadena, had no children, and is buried at Hopkins, MI.

Frank Jr. lived for a time with his cousin George as a boy in St. Helena worked for many years with General Electric at Syracuse, NY, and is remembered by the Lockport cousins as a lively, interesting person. He was last known to live at Franklin, MI, but the letter telling him of Elwood's recent funeral was returned.
