Edward Taylor was born in 1741 in Meltham, in the West Riding of Yorkshire, England, and he was christened there that year on the 14th of February. Edward's father was Edward Taylor.[1][2]
Edward was one of at least three children born to his father Edward; Edward's two siblings were John (1735),[3] and Mary (1738),[4] who were both also born and christened in Meltham.
