Biography

When Joseph Taylor was born on November 11, 1888, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, his father, Joseph Taylor, was 26 and his mother, Sarah Riley, was 26. He had three sons, Charles, Howard and William; and two daughters, Marion and Harriett, with Sarah Katherine Smith between 1909 and 1922. He died in his hometown on February 24, 1923, of a fractured skull after being struck by a street car. He was 34.
