Barbara was born about 1838, the daughter of John Taylor and Maria Purser. [1][2] The 1851 Census records her Birthplace as Pershore, Worcestershire [3]
At the time of the 1841 Census Barbara with her Father and Mother and two siblings was residing at the Pershore Union Workhouse [4] in the Holy Cross Parish of Pershore. [5]
At the time of the 1851 Census Barbara and a number of her siblings were residing in High Street, Pershore with their elder sister and Head of Household (Maria) Margery[6]
