Biography of John S. TAYLOR of 1813

John S. Taylor is the son of William Taylor and his wife Lavinca Stansell or Stancil.

John S. Taylor is one of at least three siblings:

  • Nancy Ann Taylor Campbell, born 1805, who married Seminole War solidier John Campbell, Jr.
  • Elizabeth Taylor who married Mr. Campbell
  • John S. Taylor, born 1813, and passed away in 1894.

We do not yet have an evidence for a wife for John S. Taylor other than a son named John S. Taylor, Jr. born in 1844 in Benton County, now Hernando County, Florida who registered for the Confederate States of America Soldier's Pension at the age of 74 years on December 6, 1918. This Pension was enacted by Congress in 1917.

John S. Taylor passed away on June 30, 1894 and is buried in Rousseau Pioneer Cemetery in Pinellas County, Florida
