Hello, Nathaniel!

Congratulations on certifying to work on pre-1700 profiles! It’s very important to read and understand the Help:Pre-1700 Profiles page. These profiles for deep ancestors are shared by many, and collaborating on them works best if we all follow the guidelines in the certification quiz.

Primary sources should always be added to pre-1700 profiles at the time they are created. If you don't have a source for a pre-1700 profile, it would be best to ask for help in the G2G forum before creating the profile.

Hi, I am Dorothy, a WikiTree mentor!! Are you enjoying your time on WikiTree so far?

Now that you have had a little time to try our site, there are a few more features you may find useful:

For instance, ideas on what to include in a profile can be found in Styles and Standards; including some tips on writing biographies

Also a friendly reminder about adding sources and references to your profile. Sources are critically important for genealogy and you will be helping future genealogists by listing where the information you've added came from. This page describes different kinds of sources: http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Sources

If you have any questions, feel free to ask!

Welcome to Wikitree Dr Taylor. There is a great deal of interest in medieval history here among members of Wikitree. Your expertise would be very welcomed in several projects including Magna Carta and Euroaristo projects. I hope you will consider joining one or both. I would also recommend the G2G forum which is used for discussions among Wikitree genealogists on a wide range of genealogical subjects of interest.

Thanks for joining the Wikitree community

Question of the week: How has social media helped you in your research?

See you in the branches –
