The death date of 24 Mar 1845 is most likely for his son William T Taylor. Jesse W Taylor was appointed as administrator. At first I thought it was the father but if you look at the census records, William Taylor is recorded in the 1820 census and Susannah Taylor is recorded as hh in the 1830 census, leaving the presumption that William Taylor, Jr died in the interim. His son William T Taylor married Martha Means in 1831 in Elbert Co GA. Martha is the hh in the 1850 census in Elbert Co GA. I haven't reviewed the deeds yet so there could be some further clues as to a more precise date of death for William Taylor, Jr.
Hi, the information I have on the relationship regarding the relationship between William Taylor, Jr. and Rachel Terrell comes from Ardis Taylor. I have taken information from "On the Taylor Trail" and I understand there is more information in another of her books, "A Few More Taylors" which I have yet to review. I do not have a primary source. Here is link to the website where the information can be downloaded. https://genwebsite.com/taylor-file-downloads/.
Taylor-41796 and Taylor-1249 appear to represent the same person because: Same name, wife and son. Please feel free to remove the mother of Taylor-41796 if research does not support her identity.
Does anyone have evidence that William Taylor was married to Rachel Terrell?
