Jessie (Taylor) Rainey is a part of US Black heritage.
Biography
In the 1910 Census, two-year-old Jessie W. Taylor was living in the household of her grandmother Charlotte Carhall. Charlotte Carhall was age 47, widowed, mother of 16, 10 then living, b Arkansas as were her parents. Charlotte Carhall's children living with her were Samuel, age 19; Maggie Carhall age 16; Walter Carhall age 12; Alonzo Carhall age 11 and Annabel Carhall, age 8.[1]
In the 1920 Census, 13-year-old Jessie Taylor is the stepdaughter of George Grant.[2]
Jessie Rainey was the daughter of Evan Taylor and Julia Grant, natives of Mississippi. She was the wife of William Rainey. She died of an impacted kidney stone.[3]
