Biography

John Taylor. Given Name: John. Surname: Taylor. [1]

Born 23 Dec 1930. Dudley, Staffordshire, England.

"Early Life:"

My Father's recollection of his younger life was that his family was always poor because his father "spent all the money down the pub!" Though his father fought in world war II my dad said he had originally "only joined the army,(TA?) to get out of work!". My father's toes were permanently bent up from having had to wear hand-me-down shoes. Even though his father was the only grandparent alive in my lifetime, I never met him.

"work:"

My father's first job was as a baker a job he loved. The small bakeries all closed with the advent of the supermarket, and my father worked at the BTH making motors, when that closed he end up being a laborer at British Steel Coombs Wood.

"Home:"

My Father was an intelligent quiet man who loved to read, Garden, and Baked Great cakes and pies! He tried to instill in me and sense of fiscal responsibility, but not entirely successfully. We were never rich but never wanted for anything and never had debt.
