John C. Taylor was born on March 19, 1817 in Smith, Tennessee, son of David Taylor (1779–1854) and Mary Polly Watson (~1780–<1850).[1]

John (21) married Nancy Plunkett (18) (born in 1820 in Smith, United States; daughter of Reuben Plunkett and Martha (Taylor) Plunkett) in 1839.

In 1850, John C (33) was living in De Kalb county, part of, De Kalb, Tennessee. [1]

In 1860, John C (43) [2]

In 1870, John (53) was living in Tennessee. [3]

In 1880, John (63) was living in De Kalb. [4]

John died on February 12, 1887 in Smithville, DeKalb, Tennessee, USA, aged 69.
