Biography

When Alfred John Taylor was born in 1826 in Simpson, Mississippi, his father, James, was 56 and his mother, Margaret, was 39. He had one son with Elenor Susan Metcalf in 1846.

In 1850, Alfred was living in Scott, Mississippi, with his wife, three children, and his mother. He was a farmer.^[1]
